My Practice

As a MA licensed clinician, I offer virtual counseling appointments to clients located anywhere in MA on weekdays from 9 am to 1 pm.  Each session is typically 45-50 minutes long.  I collect the session fee at or before the time of each appointment.

Since I reserve your virtual counseling time exclusively for you, there is a charge for appointments missed or cancelled without 24 hours notice.

I accept self-pay and some health insurance plans.  Health insurance reimburses only "medically necessary treatment" and requires that I submit a mental health diagnosis for you.  Marital and couples counseling, which is typically focused on improving the quality of your relationship rather than treating a mental health disorder, is usually self-pay.  Other clients may choose self-pay for privacy reasons if they are uncomfortable having a mental health diagnosis as part of their medical record.

I am in-network with the following insurance providers: Aetna, Blue Cross, Harvard Pilgrim, Tufts, and United (but I am not a Medicare provider for these plans).

Self-pay clients are legally entitled to a "Good Faith Estimate" of their out-of-pocket costs for counseling prior to receiving services.  Click here for details about your rights.

Teletherapy may not be the most appropriate treatment approach in every circumstance. If I assess that a client would be better served by a clinician who can offer in-person office visits, I will ask that you contact your insurance provider to help you find a clinician who can offer that service.
